How To Play Numbers To 25

Cool Math Games For Kids

Learn numbers to 25 playing Climb 25, a great math game for kids and learn with Elliot and myABCdad Learning for Kids.

With the addition of Greater Than as a math game to play, Elliot and I have a little variety in the math games we choose to play. Elliot enjoys playing both Memory and Greater Than.

When stuck knowing the number name, I invite Elliot to count the number of rounded squares on each card. I explain that if he does not recall the name of the number, to check by pointing and counting out loud as he goes. He can identify zero, one, two, three, four and five amounts automatically. With amounts from six to ten, he needs to check.

6 to 10 Number Recognition

Typically in Kindergarten, some students recognize larger amounts from six to ten straight away. With games like Greater Than, played with a set of 0-10 number cards, over time most children develop stronger number recognition of numbers from zero to ten.

With this in mind, I give Elliot time and space to count amounts on the six to ten number cards. This has helped him feel comfortable counting and recounting and perhaps more importantly, he remains enthusiastic about playing math games.
