Learning numbers to 25 for kids is easy and fun math playing Climb 25, a great math game for kids, with Elliot and myABCdad Learning for Kids.

About one month after playing Climb 25 With Elliot, and Elliot’s Math progress is awesome. In this visit, I try having a go at promoting the idea of counting on from a number. I model what I am after several times and invite Elliot to have a go. At first he found this tricky, needing to rewind and count up from 1 before counting beyond. Then nearing the end of the game, I was absolutely tickled pink with his response, when after asking what comes after 18, Elliot answered 19 with ease and then proceeded to count up to 23, tracking his roll of 5.

We are definitely going to keep playing Climb 25, which comes as a great reminder for how repetition is also a key ingredient for engaging learners. When I first introduced Climb 25, Elliot found it challenging indeed. The idea of playing a game sounded great but when we tried it on, not so much. Repeating it several times though and with greater independence and success, he is really showing amazing progress. More importantly he enjoys it more now. It is kind of like when Elliot wanted to learn to ride a bike. The idea sounded great but it was a struggle, which included falling and losing a tooth. He persevered and is now cycling around like he is in training for next summer’s Tour de France.
