Learn How To Count With A Calendar For Kids

Cool Math For Kids

Learn how to count with a calendar and make math learning fun with Elliot and myABCdad Learning for Kids.

Working with the Wall Calendar as a part of our daily routine has become a really powerful learning tool. As Elliot has progressed through the month of September, he has regularly referred back to other amounts or groups of tallies to record the current day. He is able to see where we have come from and project where we are going.

Elliot has also begun referring to the number of days that have been cloudy, sunny and windy. This has us thinking about ways we could represent the weather or show how many times in a month it is sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy etc.

This is a perfect avenue for creating and introducing The Weather Graph. Elliot has taken an interest in comparing the frequency of weather over a month. Now we can have a go at graphing the frequency of weather.

Make sure to watch and read about where we have come from in Episode 1 and where we are going in Episode 3 and Episode 4.
